The weather didn't cooperate and neither did the bulls. They were not being very vocal during my short 3 day hunt. I only had 3 days to hunt (baby being born very soon) but I'm confident had I stayed for another few days I could have connected. I had multiple opportunities on animals that were smaller than the one I took last year. The elk are on the ranch that I hunted, but the big boys wouldn't play along.

The amount of elk we saw was more than acceptable. Again, the weather was warm during the days and I believe that played into them not being as "vulnerable" as I thought they could be. I could tell that the elk were just starting to put their toes into the shallow end of the pool and the rut is right around the corner.

Another fantastic hunt with Vinny and MHFC. No doubt in my mind that I'll be back season after season to chase elk. Great camp, great food and plenty of beautiful scenery to go along with a few huge herds of elk.

Vinny and company did everything possible for me to get an opportunity to connect on a bull and for that I would like to thank him. He will go above and beyond to make sure your hunt, successful or not, is an enjoyable experience.
