I recommend this outfitter

Bought a 6 day hunt through a Montana Bow hunter Association Convention. Went on the hunt with my friend Curtis. The food was good our guide Zane Moore was awesome. We nick named him the "moose ninja" Zane is an expert caller and an absolute woodsman. We spent our days hiking and calling, Zane carried a moose antler, decoy and birch bark horn and used them from daylight until dark. In 6 days Zane called in 7 bulls and four cows. Curtis shot a 35" moose on day four of the hunt with his compound bow. For the next two days Zane worked hard and called in two more bulls just not in to bow range for me. The area we were in held a large number of moose and as Zane proved, getting off the road a bit resulted in never seeing another hunter the entire week. This area of Alberta has excellent access, easy terrain (I live in the Rocky Mountains so easy is relative) and incredible moose numbers. I highly recommend this hunt and Zane Moore the "Moose Ninja" as your guide. Another guide in camp seemed competent and was recommended by Zane named Pat. I can't speak directly for Pat, but I trust Zane's opinion and I can speak for Pat's culinary skills! He cooked the best moose liver I have ever eaten in camp! I have successfully bow hunted moose in Idaho in 2009 and helped a friend in Montana in 2007 get his moose with a bow. Alberta moose hunting with Silver fox Outfitters brought my moose hunting experience to another level. Book your trip and ask for Zane, tell him you like to hike and call, and then, when you get there - be ready willing and able to get out, hike and call. If you are in good physical shape and really want to take a moose with your bow I highly recommend this hunt. This is not necessarily a trophy hunt, but there are a high number of moose and we saw moose every day, I am not sure what more a bow hunter could ask for!
