Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Where to start! I have hunted hogs on a monthly basis for the past 5 years, have killed plenty of hogs and more important, I have been to at least 10 different ranches in texas. I had a favorite ranch awhile back until the manager left. Since then I've been looking (wasting time and money) for a replacement. I'm happy to say that I have found it! Shiloh ranch undersells and over delivers in every aspect of their business and 99%of previous reviews have been spot on. I will be back with 60 days(sooner if the wife allows it). PRO Quantity! I saw at least 100 hogs each day with a shot op on at least 50% Stand/trails/feeder quality is unmatched by any place I've been. No question of whether the feeder is going to go off or not, not shaky stands, or infested blinds. Excellent layout of stand locations to maximize each acre. Lots of water (natural) for the dry times of summer. Amenities were way nicer than described and very organized. I never mind roughing it, and they have the essentials in place to allow a clean no frills stay, which is the first time I've seen that. Usually it's either bring a tent or stay in our luxury resort. This place is designed for the hunter 3d course and fishing hole available to use free of charge. Nearby on call processor

Con Quality of animals (or at least the 250+ that I saw) were somewhat dissapointing. I need to make it clear that it is July, so they are always going to be on the light side, and I was told that hogs in ok are on average a bit more mangy than in texas which would explain my observation. I know if there was a way to remedy this, it would have been done. Price. For the same price, most ranches allow at least 2 hogs to be taken. 2nd hog can be shot for $2 per lb. which makes it a 1 hog hunt for most people. When you see 100+ hogs a day, it's hard to restrain yourself to just 1. I'm sure they have good reasons for it Rules. Shiloh is not a ranch to go for a bachelor party or anyone with an ar15 and 200 rounds. It is very conservative and family oriented. It's the 1st ranch I've been to that I could bring my wife and kids along and not have any concerns.(maybe next time). Overall rating from this solo bow hunter is a 10! (First ever)
