I recommend this outfitter

Did a drop hunt for Caribou out of Bethel with Papa Bear Adventures. The hunt was in 2005 and the Mulchatna Heard and was not reported to be in good shape. We saw a few animals the first day of hunting and managed to take 2 respectable bulls over the course of the week. Steve and Carl from Papa Bear Adventures were first rate all the way. There equipment was perfect, and the bunkhouse we stayed at before departing, and upon return to Bethel was very comfortable. We hunted both archery, and rifle, but all animals ended up falling to the smoke sticks. The wide open terrain made it difficult to get closer than 100 yards. With bad weather and fog we ended up being 2 days late to get back to Bethel. Ran low on food and out of white gas but we survived. All and all a great hunt and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Weather Comments:
It rained on most of the hunt. Wind blew so hard one night that we had to prop the walls up all night long just so the tent didn't fall over but that's Alaska! Caused us 2 extra days in the field. Memories for life.
