Great hunt, everything I wanted.Spent the night before the fly in and the night after flying out at the Dhoon Lodge where we were treated like royalty. I shot my moose the first hunt of the first full day and it was the 3rd bull that had a shot on. The first was a monster that Russel called in from a good 1,000 yards to a hundred yards and only the wind shifting kept us from taking it. The second was a 30 incher that started in when we were calling the big one in, but changed his mind about 300 yards out when he caught the other's scent.

I spent the rest of the week going out with my buddies and enjoying the back country. Everyone in camp shot a moose. Food was good, plain fare. All the guides were great, made us feel at home.

If you go, go prepared to walk rough country. It's not for weak hearts. Beautiful, but rugged and a lot of hard traveling.
