This was a last minute Hunt due to my work schedule. I called Pete Martin and he was able to accommodate me and give me multiple stand options for a three day hunt. I had requested ground blinds or ladder stands due to a recent shoulder surgery. With that in mind Pete suggested I try one particular stand called "Cedar Box". The first morning I sat was very active with does and one nice buck (135 ish ) but he stayed just out of my comfort range in thick brush. That evening I sat in the "Box" again and it started fast around 4:15 with does, then about 5:30 the does left and a nice Buck came in that gave me a nice 30 yd shot that I was able to make. Recovery was tough but I let "Joe" do the dragging and I provide direction so to speak. Weather helped with a cold snap blowing thru when I hunted.
