Our group does a late season hunt every year. We have hunted with several outfitters in Kentucky and Illinois, and Tad Ladd's operation is by far the best! The lodging was clean, comfortable, and well thought out for hunters. The food was great and always ready at the end of the hunts and served by Ms. Renee with a huge smile. Whatever we needed she took care of. If we wanted certain items for breakfast or dinner she would accommodate our requests.
Craig was my guide and he was a real pleasure to be with. He was enthusiastic about our hunts and worked tirelessly to make sure we were comfortable. He made sure all the little details were covered like making sure we had bow holders and hot hands for the cold mornings. You could tell that the stand placement was the result of diligent scouting. The actual stands were comfortable, safe, and easy to get in and out of. From a safety stand point Tadd has a lifeline system on every stand. How other outfitters get away without having these is beyond me. This huge detail shows the commitment to excellence Tadd offers. If you want a mid rate hunt with dangerous stands and grumpy guides go to another outfitter, if you want to hunt with someone who truly cares about your hunt call Tadd.
On top of all the comfort and care Tadd offers, they also have some of the most beautiful property you will ever hunt. We saw a ton of deer. Not just a few here and there, but hunts with sightings of 20-40 deer. The number of young bucks just a year away from being trophies is amazing. I can only imagine how great the hunting will be next year, that's why we are already booked.
