I was unable to attend after paying all fees and costs due to my father passing away before our planned hunt. Fehr has failed to credit or refund any portion of the money outplayed . I understand fair costs already sustained to set up the hunt but the Animal tags were not purchased, transport and food not used. Requests for partial refund or credit were met with an offer of credit only for next year of $603.20 (being the animal tag costs) out of the total payment made of $4165. Fehr Outfitters also increased fees without notification by $500 after the initial 50% deposit was paid. Fehr Game Outfitters appear to be an unfair in their dealings with clients and in my opinion a dishonest outfitting business concerned more with making money than client satisfaction given I had a legitimate reason for cancellation, I am happy to be billed for what costs were already outlaid and would have taken the credit offered for next year if it had been reasonable. It wasn't!

In regards to this post. Of course, there are two sides to every story.

We are sympathetic due to the hardship of his fathers passing and send our condolences.

We offered to apply credit for a rebooking hunt for next year. We recommend trip insurance, which he purchased but they failed to follow through due to the age of his father.

Peter was unable to attend but his partner that was also booked for the 2 on 1 hunt still attended. We would like to see Peters hunting partner weigh in whether we are an unfair and dishonest outfit? He received a 1 on 1 hunt. We were made aware that Peter was unable to attend approximately 15hrs prior to the expeditor picking him up from his hotel. All expenses were incurred, a credit for tags/licenses has been applied to a follow-up hunt.

We review our prices every year following our fall season. Price changes occur October 31st if applicable. Estimates are valid for 15 days. Deposit on this particular hunt was made Dec 31st. Peter had in his possession the updated price and paid a deposit on such.
