booked with bob mcconnell owner of horseshoe hill outfitters early in 2016. bob was great to deal with and kept in touch and had great communication through out the year. i even had the dates changed for hunt with zero issues. once i arrived in garnett kansas i met guides randy dickerson and his assistant ben. we went over a game plan and decided to begin hunt at first light by over looking farm and seeing what was moving. as soon as it got light we spotted 5 bucks from our vantage point and i was already impressed. after things settled down we drove the property to go over stands and once i decided where i wanted to hunt that day we headed back to my truck so i could get all my gear and get into stand for the hunt. upon heading to my truck to get my gear we spotted a cpl great bucks bedded near a hot doe. randy asked me if i wanted to try a spot and stalk and i jumped at the chance being i never done spot and stalk before. we were ableto close to within 28 yards of a absolute stud but due to thick grass i could not get clar shot and he ran into thick cedars. as we headed back to get my gear we spotted 2 more bucks in creek area and made second stalk of my life the first buck spotted us and walked off into thiket and second one gave me a great shot with bow at 25 yards. after shot i had to take a break lol spot and stalk is freaking amazing and fun once my nerves settled a bit we walked across creek and got on blood it went about 30 yards. the guides did everything from there out, pictures, removal, field dressing, skinning and caping and even deboned it for me. i have hunted with several outfitters in many states and canada and this by far was best experience i have had. i will be back and this time with a few more guys! great owner great guides great outfitter all around. email me for reference or questions at [email protected]
